✅ Eligibility Criteria
Eligibility for POWERGRID Apprentice Recruitment 2026 is assessed as on the closing date of application, 10 September 2026. Candidates must possess the required full-time qualification for the selected apprenticeship trade and must have passed the final examination within the specified two-year period.

- The final examination must have been passed between 11 September 2024 and 10 September 2026.
- The qualification must be from a recognized institute or university.
- Part-time, correspondence, distance and online mode qualifications are not accepted.
- The candidate must be medically fit as per the provisions of the Apprentices Act, 1961.
- The date of declaration of result must be available on the marksheet or supported by a certificate from the institute.
- The final or consolidated marksheet must mention the percentage of marks, or a Percentage Conversion Letter must be submitted.
- Candidates awaiting their final examination result are not eligible.
- Candidates who have already undergone or are currently undergoing apprenticeship training in any organization are not eligible.
- Candidates with more than one year of job experience are not eligible.

🎯 Selection Process
POWERGRID Apprentice Recruitment 2026 does not involve a written examination or interview. Selection is based on merit, eligibility and document verification for the notified region and trade.
- Applications are screened in merit order according to the qualification prescribed for the selected trade and region.
- Eligible candidates are shortlisted for document verification in a 1:5 ratio against the notified training slots, in merit order.
- Shortlisted candidates are informed through their registered email address.
- A final merit list is prepared from candidates found suitable after document verification.
- Selected candidates must accept the tripartite apprenticeship contract through the NATS/NAPS portal.
- Medical certificate and police verification are required before engagement.
- Reservation for SC, ST, OBC(NCL) and PwBD candidates is applied as per the applicable apprenticeship rules.
