PwBD reservation: PwBD reservation for Graduate Apprentice and Data Entry Operator disciplines is applied horizontally across categories as per applicable government guidelines. PwBD candidates are not eligible for Discipline Codes 101–111. The number of vacancies is provisional and may increase or decrease depending on the actual requirement.
✅ Eligibility Criteria
Eligibility depends on the discipline code selected by the candidate. The prescribed qualification must be obtained through a recognised institution and, where specified, through a regular full-time course. Part-time, correspondence and distance-learning qualifications are not eligible.

Additional eligibility conditions:
- Where CGPA, OGPA or letter grades are awarded, the equivalent aggregate percentage must be entered according to the concerned Board, University or Institute norms.
- A candidate may undergo a maximum of two apprenticeship trainings, with the second apprenticeship in a different trade and subject to the conditions specified in the notification.
- Candidates who have completed five years in the relevant discipline as on 31 August 2026 after acquiring the prescribed qualification are not eligible.
- Candidates possessing higher professional qualifications such as B.E., MBA, MCA, CA, ICWA or LLB are not eligible.
- Diploma or Vocational Certificate holders having one year or more of job experience after acquiring the qualification are not eligible.
- Candidates whose apprenticeship contract has already been approved by BOAT on the NATS portal cannot create another apprenticeship contract.
- Only one discipline code can be selected. Applying for more than one discipline code will lead to rejection of the applications.

🎯 Selection Process
IOCL Apprentice Recruitment 2026 does not involve a written examination or interview. Selection is primarily based on merit in the prescribed qualifying examination, followed by document verification and medical fitness requirements.

- Merit List: Merit is prepared using the percentage of marks obtained in the prescribed qualification.
