✅ Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must satisfy the educational qualification, domicile, passing-year and apprenticeship experience conditions specified for the relevant category. The qualification must be in the notified discipline or trade and should meet the recognition requirements mentioned in the official advertisement.

Domicile Eligibility
Only Indian Nationals who are domiciles of the following States/UTs are eligible: Chandigarh, Delhi, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Leh Ladakh, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand.
Passing Year and Other Conditions
- The candidate must have passed the relevant degree, diploma or ITI qualification in 2024 or after 2024.
- Candidates who have already completed an apprenticeship are not eligible.
- Candidates who terminated an apprenticeship midway are not eligible.
- Candidates currently pursuing apprenticeship elsewhere, or in AAI at the same qualification level, are not eligible.
- Candidates having one year or more of apprenticeship/job experience after obtaining the essential qualification are not eligible, as per the Apprentices Act, 1961.
- A candidate applying for more than one discipline will not be considered and such applications will be rejected.
Training Locations
Apprentices may be posted at various Northern Region airports, AAI units and offices, including locations such as Adampur, Amritsar, Agra, Aligarh, Ayodhya, Azamgarh, Bareilly, Bhatinda, Bikaner, Chitrakoot, CATC-Prayagraj, Dehradun, Fursatganj, Gorakhpur, Gwalior, Hindon, Hissar, Halwara/Ludhiana, Jammu, Jaipur, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, Kangra-Gaggal, Kanpur, Khajuraho, Kullu-Bhuntar, Kushinagar, Kishangarh, Kota, Lucknow, Leh, Moradabad, Meerut, Pantnagar, Pathankot, Prayagraj, Safdarjung, Srinagar, Shimla, Udaipur, Varanasi and various offices in New Delhi.
The allocated Airport, Station or Unit will be final, and a change in the place of training will not be entertained later. Selected candidates will preferably be posted at locations based on their registration location on the relevant portal.

🎯 Selection Process
AAI Apprentice Recruitment 2026-27 is primarily merit-based and does not involve a written examination. Shortlisting is based on marks obtained in the qualifying examination, followed by verification and other joining requirements.
- Merit-Based Provisional Selection: Candidates are provisionally shortlisted according to the percentage of marks obtained in the qualifying examination. CGPA is converted into percentage according to the concerned Board/University norms.
- Tie-Breaking: In case of equal marks, date of birth and thereafter date of passing are considered for determining seniority.
- Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates are called for document verification at the concerned establishment office through their registered email ID.
- Interview / Certificate Verification: Further verification may be conducted as specified by AAI, while the candidature remains provisional.
- Medical Fitness: A Medical Fitness Certificate issued by a Government Medical Officer or Medical Officer of a Government Undertaking is required at the time of joining.
- Final Engagement: Final selection and issuance of the apprentice engagement letter are subject to successful verification and medical fitness clearance.
Reservation for SC/ST, OBC and EWS categories is applicable as per the relevant Government of India provisions. Shortlisting for document verification or medical examination does not by itself guarantee final selection.

- Complete NATS registration using your valid personal email, mobile number, Aadhaar details, qualifying certificate and APAAR ID.
- Verify your mobile number and email through OTP and complete the required Aadhaar e-KYC process.
